Hi I’m Different
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” Edmund Burke.
My name is unimportant but I’m from an island just south of Africa. I am proud product of my past, see without violence and drama I have no meaning. Imprinted in my spirit I have the heart of uShaka, the wisdom of Hendrik Verwoerd and the pride of politics. See I am a product of a culture that embraces ignorance, why would I even be bothered with Education? I boast about where I’ve been, you see unless you know your past, you can never go anywhere, look I wear my scars like a badge. To be honest I really do not see a future for myself. My life is here in my corner hustling another meal for myself. YES FOR MYSELF, this is where many men miss this father thing, these little bastards must learn to be tough from a very young age. Crime, I’m callous to that. A man’s got to do what a man’s got to do to get his. However, despite the fact that I have never had a CV or a business plan I am sure I would find a job if these foreigners were not all over the place.
This dogs come here and make money in my hood. Anyway I don’t care for that I just hate how different they are. They tick me off with their excellent work ethic, they really get my bowls moving when I think about their strength to move on from whatever tragedies they are taking refuge from and still be ambitious enough to make something of their lives. These men are different from me, because they might just have a future in my home and I don’t, and it’s everyone’s fault but mine. Euphoria is seeing them pay for their sins, degrading South Africans with their ability. Don’t get me wrong, I might have thrown a rock a few times, I might have lit the match, but I’m not a murderer. I am not the executioner I’m the judge all illegal immigrants are guilty. I might have thrown the first stone but I’m not a murderer.
Once again I’m Different and I’m from an island South of Africa.
Anyone who is different has to die
(Except from The Memoirs of an Anonymous killer)
- It takes one community to start a holocaust. Hitler grew up in a town that had a deeply anti-Semitic mayor and generally anti-Semitic neighbourhood.
- Time has come for us to be educated. Our ignorance SHALL fracture our souls.
- Our differences make us fit- a puzzle would not be puzzling if all the parts were the same. Make a friend who is completely different from you but you get along with, and you’ll have made the best of friendships.
- Do you know the difference between racist, and xenophobic? Is it any more justifiable for me to kill a man who is in ”my” country without an ID then an Apartheid regime officer beating my father down with a “knopkeer” for being in a “slegs blanket” neighbourhood without a dompaas and a work permit
- The South African dream’s death, is born when we (like the pigs of animal farm) become a spitting image of our oppressors.
- With the death of the South African dream, we are no longer Africans, but rather we are an island south of Africa.
Where do you stand?
