When did we all become hypnotics?

I am standing on this point of uncertainty, confused or rather intrigued by the state of our country, the unemployment rate, crime rate, teenage pregnancy, school dropout rate and this rates are a tool used to label a generation I happen to be part of, as a “Lost Generation”. Of course I am stubborn I don’t take that, I am not lost am being denied a chance to save my fellow brothers and sisters, because the policy that governs the interaction between my Generation and the “generations of heroes” happen to be 103 years old.

I know better than to blame the government (especially the kind of blame that have no sound or intention to suggest a better deal), growing up the first time I heard of NYDA was when it was in some scandal of misusing funds (Thee Ghallar dinner in centurion if you still remember it) Let us get facts straight I know about the Love Life movement but something that is equally as important is hidden away. I then learned maybe I did not do my research, a research is a directed search you can only do research if you got a subject, what is hidden is not the resources (they are scarce though) but the SUBJECT. We do not have the subject, I only knew what I wanted to do with my life when I was 17 but because of everything I learned for 17 years, I doubted my decision and only 8 years later I decided to concentrate on my PURPOSE. Some kids sadly will never find the subject of their life. Maybe the problem is deeper than just financing, NYDA is not enough, and the troubles we facing extend well beyond government’s failure to provide jobs or proper education. Can it be that the system is failing because of the foundation from which it is build?

let me not forget to say whatever those offices are hiding one day will be seen, when the “lost generation” decides to torch them because they don’t serve their purpose, the problem is not money the problem is mentality. What frustrates me even more is OUR attitude as young people, we are like concurred slaves back in the 18 century, we so submissive and begging to be heard, who should be running the show here. I am not of a view that torching properties is a constructive way of showing dissatisfaction, I am just worried the rebellion of the lost generation might be worse than that of slaves, Dear Minister of Education, labor, social services, are you aware it is our life’s you playing games with, that is the little voice in me I have to fight everyday just to maintain peace. Look the frustrations builds even more when you convince me to do maths and science because of my ability, leaving my interests ignored till I’m a young adult facing the reality of being unemployed and if employed hating my profession. If discovering talents and interests can be exercised in the early childhood development phase, more than half of our problems can be dealt with.

We all need to be educated with the purpose of which we are going to serve on earth. We all talented in a way or two and this generation has the responsibility to make talent a profitable business. Cassper Nyovest is part of this Generation, let me challenge my generation to be the best and discover their purpose in our life time, defying the insulting title of “Lost Generation” with one hand while we write the History with the Other.
