Our Man Genius Monday Is Julius ‘Public Protector’ Malema #MGM

Julius-Malema
Born 03 march 1981, he is one of the bravest young man to ever walk this land. Some have compared him to Julius Nyerere some compared him to Thomas Sankara others to Martin Luther king Jr but I maintain he is one of his own kind. He is a leader a public speaker and an overall humble person. He is persistent, patient and a dreamer; I remember his promise to the people of South Africa that he is going to be the president of this country.

His track record speaks for itself, he has always been an active leader starting from back in the early 2000’s when he served as the national president of Cosas to the years he was the President of the African National Congress Youth League, the period the youth league was the most active post apartheid (that youth league was appealing to every young person and was vocal) . He faced a lot of challenges but being the great leader he is, he rose above them. He was labeled as being a failure because of his matric results, was expelled out of the ANC for speaking against leadership and telling nothing but the truth (and promising the removal of the president). He went to trial but that did not stop this man.

You don’t have to agree with his views to admit he is a great leader; his commanding voice makes it impossible to ignore this young man when he speaks. When everyone thought he was done and out (and the media was bored cause they had no stories to run) he came back, in 2013 during the month of June I came back home to watch the prime time news and there he was Mr Malema announcing to the whole country and continent his new political home “Economic freedom Fighters” a lot of people where a bit skeptical about this new party. No one was willing to give it a chance until he was given a space and chance to speak.

In 2013 he was one of the first leaders to go to Marikana, his ability to relate to poor people and speak to them in the language they understand helped the EFF grow and secured votes for the National elections that saw him and his fighters get in parliament. Nobody in South Africa will ever forget the first day red overalls made it into parliament, or the day for the first time in the history of South African parliament MP’s refused to be addressed until certain questions were answered. He didn’t only challenge the status quo but he exposed the ANC and the parliaments in efficiency and overall illiteracy of the constitution and code of conduct.

His speeches are some of the most memorable because of the humor and truth in them, every time he speaks you are sure you going to learn something new and find something funny too. May he live long for other generations to learn from him and experience his greatness!!
