The NEC has agreed to take a collective responsibility of their poor performance, the NEC has also decided not to talk Zuma as the NEC believe the poor performance was not due to number 1. Failure to listen to the public was highlighted as one of the reasons for their disastrous performance, and shockingly they chose to ignore the same public the first time they meet after the elections. Now tell me ANC do you want us to take you seriously?
It might look like playing in the hands of the opposition by getting rid of Zuma but when an average citizen feels the president should go, protecting him is the worst thing that can ever happen to the ANC because voter’s confidence will continue to plunge. The 2019 elections may seem to be far but every decision the ANC makes from now on including the one to spare number 1 will act for or against the ANC ahead of the upcoming national elections.
The ANC mentioned corruption was amongst the concerns of the citizen and I think it should be mentioned that Zuma is directly linked to Nkandla and for ANC to continue being led by him is a direct contradiction to their pledge to fight corruption. And be warned students won’t be used by any politician to gain popularity. Especially not after police were deployed to go arrest and shoot them last year, your attempts to gain popularity with young people should be more sophisticated than that, unless you pass the policy to make education free we advise you to shut up. Dabbing, free clothing and a couple of selfies by celebrities wearing ANC clothing won’t win it for you.
By the way good luck convincing people Zuma was never the main reason people decided to stop trusting you.
