You Do Realise That We Can Actually Make South Africa Great Right??

SA-Black-and-White
It is a well-known fact that times are changing and so are the needs of people, technology is also changing rapidly and career choices should also be reflective of such choices. We are moving into a world of robots, from car manufactures to robotics packaging my favourite beer. Eighty percent if not more of the work done in most car manufacturers is automated. This means people who can actually design robots, program them and maintain them from time to time are needed.

But here I am not referring to your traditional mechanical engineer, electrical engineer or programmer. Those we have in abundance as it stands, but we want entrepreneurial engineers, those that will work at identifying problems before they exist and solve them. So the only way we can make South Africa be great is to encompass a new learning method/system that is interactive and is directed at solving actual problems or better yet non-existent futuristic problems.

Even though it might be a little too late for our generation, we can make sure our kids are more competitive, more solution orientated, communicate effectively and are generally innovative slash super curious beings; I’m talking techno junkies and techno delinquents. Remember the world is looking for cheap solutions and only innovative people can solve massive problems with little to no resources.

From the kind of toys you buy for your child, to the games you play with them, and how you let them play with other kids, it has been proven that you can use those day to day situations to build your child’s communication skills, creativity, sharing, team work and problem solving. So the responsibility to prepare our kids for this ever changing world is not in the governments hands only. Parents, big sisters and big brothers need to be preparing their siblings for the next world war that will be mainly on competitiveness and innovation. Make it a point to instill a sense of craziness and innovation in them, do not tell them they can’t do this and that, the making of super young beings that will one day change the world lies in your hands.
