If you are a person of faith then you know that there’s a certain way in which you should live your life, certain rules and customs that you’re supposed to live by, you know the Word and you can tell apart what’s right from wrong. We are ,however, very choosy people, we pick which part of being a Christian to acknowledge and which part to ignore. We live by the chapters of the Word that are convenient to our lives, and act like the others don’t exist, for example, we are conscious of certain sins, that we do everything in our power to stay away from those sins while normalising others and committing them on a day to day basis like we don’t know that they are sins. Our Christianity is halved,we are hypocrites because we judge others for doing things that we feel are wrong while oblivious to other wrongs, the wrongs that we do, the wrongs that are just as written as those that we frown upon,we choose to ignore ours because acknowledging them would mean getting in the way of how are lives are set up,what are hearts desire and what’s beneficial to us.
We are self serving Christians even though we know that Christianity is about serving God, not ourselves.
I’m not trying to seem better than everyone, I also don’t know it all, still in the process of spiritual growth, this is just so you take a minute and check your life before looking down on a person for what they are doing, see how you’re living and if it’s the way you’re supposed to be living, if not, then work on yourself first before trying to work on others.
