Manchester sides United and City both triumphed in their groups as Mourinho’s reds scored 2-0 past Benfica, while Guardiola’s citizens trashed Napoli 4-2, the biggest upset of the week came when Zidane’s Real Madrid suffered a shocking 3-1defeat to English side Tottenham Hotspur’s, despite numerous attempts from Cristiano Ronaldo who scored the conciliation goal and Sergio Ramos Los Blancos could not make up the 2 goal deficit.
Midweek action in the PSL was also a highlight as we saw Mamelodi Sundowns make their return to top flight football after a recent struggle in form. The Mamelodi Side took on Soweto giants Orlando Pirates in a match filled with nothing but excitement and goals, Coach Pitso’s side were the victors in the fixture as they drowned the Buccaneers 3-1.
Benni McCarthy’s Cape Town City was back to their winning ways after a disappointing Telkom Knockout lose on the weekend. They put 1 behind Free State Stars and a kept a clean sheet. League defenders Bidvest Wits suffered a 2-0 defeat to Chippa United who surprisingly also trashed Mamelodi Sundowns over the weekend in the Telkom Knockout challenge.

With a total of 333 points, 9 wins and 12 podium finishes he is the best in the world for 2017 outclassing close rivals Sebastian Vettel and Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas. Hamilton has one year left in his contract with the German Motor Company Mercedes, 2018 shall surely be a year we eagerly await.
