No one understands us.
You see, intelligent people who grew up in a non-supporting environment tends to look sad all the time.
We enjoy our own company, such as thinking about a critical information deeply. This results in a stoic face, indicating that they are really don’t want to be disturbed.
Someone–especially the one who doesn’t understand if we want some time alone–keeps invading our privacy. For example, they kept talking to us, and when we ignore them, they got pissed and started accusing us as “ignorant, anti-social people”.
Personally, I experienced this too. My mother occasionally scold me for being anti-social and abnormal.
I knew she is tired, and maybe using me as her own target to release stress (by getting angry at me constantly), but it really hurts a lot. It felt like she is looking down at me.
I started putting my fake smile all the time. And talking to people nicely, abandoning my train of thoughts. It works. She doesn’t scold me anymore.
But a fake smile hurts and tiring at the same time.
“Why can’t I be normal?”
